shipping policy.

When items are marked as made-to-order, please allow 10-14 business days for processing time before we can get it shipped out. For items that aren’t made-to-order you can expect your package to ship within 1-5 business days. We ship USPS and provide tracking as soon as your order is marked as shipped. Once the item is dropped off at USPS, it's out of our hands. You can purchase insurance for your package, simply reach out to me at Jessica@MidwestNestHandmade.com.

You can contact USPS at +1 (800) 275-8777 for any questions or updates concerning your package. You will need the tracking number provided by MWN Handmade, via e-mail when you purchased your item. If you do not enter an e-mail when purchasing your items, we have no way to send you this information. If you do not enter an e-mail and you need your tracking number, you can e-mail us at Jessica@MidwestNestHandmade.com and we will see if we can fix your issue. There are no guarantees that we can give you a tracking number once it has left our Wisconsin studio.

I cannot offer refunds or exchanges if your item arrives late.

Please allow 5-7 business days for your item to be shipped.

custom orders.

We reserve the right to resell and replicate any custom orders. Once we have made or spoken of the requested piece, it is now property of Midwest Nest Handmade. We reserve the right to replicate, resell, or advertise the custom piece. Your rights to the intellectual and physical property are transferred to Midwest Nest Handmade to replicate and resell as desired once they have been conveyed to Midwest Nest Handmade.

returns & exchanges.

Returns for damaged earrings are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Other damaged returns will be met on a case to case basis. Unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges for any reason (it’s unsanitary). We do our best to represent each pair online and on social to give you an idea of what to expect. If your pair doesn’t meet your expectations consider gifting them to a friend! If you are returning due to damage you can only receive a duplicate of your previous order.

Please understand that every item is made by hand using clay or resin (or a mix of both). We are very proud of the quality and durability of our work, but these are not manufactured pieces and might not all look 100% the same. This is especially true when it comes to patterns. I do my best to show you what all of the available patterns are in a restock, but the specific pair that you receive might not be the image I used for its listing. Please understand the complexities of patterns, canes, resin or marbled pieces when you are buying. It’s impossible for me to recreate any pattern, cane, marble or resin exactly.

You can be assured that your piece is 100% custom and unique to you!

Polymer clay is very durable and tough to break, but we understand that accidents do happen, so if for some reason you break your earrings please contact us via email.

care instructions.
TLDR: hand wash, lay flat to dry.

Acrylic yarn is generally machine washable and dryable.  However, it's always recommended to hand wash and lay flat to dry in order to ensure that damage is not done, stretching doesn't occur, etc.  I've had great luck machine washing and drying acrylic blanket; but do so at your own risk.

Stuffies are generally made with polyester yarn and Poly-fil.  It is never recommended to machine wash your stuffie.  Stuffies should be spot cleaned as needed.  Any safety eyes should be regularly checked to ensure they remain secure.

Cotton yarn is machine washable and dryable.  Hand washing and line drying will keep your piece in better shape, so it is what we recommend.

Polymer clay and resin are extremely durable, however, you're buying jewelry. Please take care of your pieces. Keep them out of the heat (don’t leave them in your car) and don’t toss them in your purse or bag. Store in a lined jewelry drawer or in a jewelry cabinet/display. It’s common for makeup residue to show up on earrings, especially lighter colors. If this happens a makeup remover cloth can be used to gently wipe down the surface of your earring.
